Study on Self-stressing Concrete Filled Steel Tube

The experimental study on self-stressing concrete filled steel tubes is made and the defects of common concrete filled steel tubes are presented. Also the disadvantages of self-stressing concrete filled steel tubes induced by concrete are studied and analyzed. A new type of self-stressing concrete filled steel tubes, the self-stressing concrete filled steel tubes induced by steel tube is proposed. The results of the experiment show that self-stressing concrete filled steel tubed induced by steel tube not only achieve the relative permanent self-strexx but also avoid the disadvantages of self-stressing concrete filled steel tubes induced by concrete. Therefore, it is a fairly reasonable type of self-stressing concrete filled steel tubes.
