    Fire Performance and Fire Resistance Design Method for End Restrained Concrete Filled Steel Tube Columns

    • In order to establish the fire resistance design method for concrete filled steel tube (CFST) columns, a finite element (FE) model based on beam elements was proposed to simulate the fire performance of axially and rotationally restrained CFST columns. A systematically parametric study was conducted on the effects of the axial restraint, the rotational restraint, and the eccentric ratio of axial load of the column end. The effective length coefficient and the stability coefficient of the CFST columns was researched by using the FE model. In the end, a fire resistance design method for the restrained CFST columns was introduced.
