Preliminary Measuring of The State of Partial Film Lubrication on Teeth Surface

This paper introduces a preliminary experiment using electric resistance method to measure the slate of partial film lubrication with a planstary gear testing machine. The test indicates that electric resistance increases with raising of oil film thickness. During the forming of full film, electric resistance is over 100kΩ.
The experimental results have proved that it is simple' and easy in practice to keep watch on forming a full film through a plain weave on the oscilloscope and open circuit voltage.
