  • A new type of activated carbon was prepared,using the sewage sludge as the main raw materials and combining the waste paper materials.The sewage sludge was taken from Gaobeidian wastewater disposal plant and the waste paper materials were added to improve the property.And the concerned conditions were worked out during the production.The chemical activation method was applied to pyrolyze sewage sludge and the optimum conditions were obtained through the orthogonal test.Characteristics of the activated carbon from sewage sludge were affected by 4 factors and the optimum conditions were obtained: 750 ℃ of heating temperature,60 min of dwell time,4 mol/L of the concentrations of ZnCl2 activation and 40% of the proportion of waste paper materials added.The SBET value of the activated carbon under optimum conditions was 680.85 m2/g,which was consistent with the theoretical result of orthogonal design.
