Abstract
To provide a better differentiated quality of service (QoS) for various traffics in the high speed environment, the concept of identifier to the switch fabric is introduced, and a novel CICQ (combined input and cross-point queued) scheduling mechanism for differentiated QoS based on identifier is proposed. The flow control mechanism based on the identifier and reservation bandwidth constraints is used to manage the network data flow in denomination of traffic classes, which ensures the switch to provide effectively support different high-level traffic classes.Theoretical analysis and simulation results are consistent. The mechanism has a good delay performance and can allocate the bandwidth of output links according to the reservation bandwidth, which maintains the relative fairness for each traffic class.
