    Dynamic Strength Evaluation of Steam Turbine Blades Based on the Finite Element Method

    • As the Campbell diagram is used to evaluate the strength of blades,it predicts false resonant points. This causes difficulty in blade design in engineering.To overcome the deficiency,a new approach was presented.Based on the finite element computation of the fundamental frequencies and modes of blade assembles, by using the SAFE Diagram,the dynamic strength of blade is evaluated in the way of finding out the real resonant points.The application example showed that the proposed procedure can be used in the stage of blade design or in accident analysis of blades.
