Abstract

A new vibration sieve mechanism is designed in this paper. The degrees of freedom of the mechanism is greater than the number of the input links. The dynamic equations of the system are nonlinear. Numerical analysis reveals that the dynamic responses of the sieve mechanism are nonperiodic and initial condition sensitive. This chaotic behavior satisfies the uneven motion requirement of the vibration sieve.
