An Expermental Research on the production of Compacted Graphite Cast Iron Geas

Using Mg-Ti-Ca-Re-Si-Fe single alloy as a modifying agent, the experimental work for producing compacted graphite cast iron gears with cupola melting iron is described. Produced gears have reached the mechanical properties required by the designer. They need not be heat-treated, have good machinability and very low reject rate.
