Abstract
This paper reports the test results of 6 reinforced concrete beam end specmens out of 24 specimens under low repeated reciprocal loading. The effect of different shear span ratios of the beam end on its earth- quake resistant behavior is investigated. The test results show that the shear Span vatio of the beam end has a critical effect on the mode of failure, deflection ductility, curvature ductility, and energy absorbing and dissipating capacity of the beam end.
