Research Progress on GIS-T Data Models

For setting up more intact and widely used data model with characteristic of the time, promoting the dvelopment of GIS-T data model and the application in the field of transportation, the authors sketch the meaning of GIS-T data model and the characteristics of research progress at first, then comment the progress of domestic and foreign researches on GIS-T data model from the multiphases of the traditional data model， linear location reference system, data model based on navigation and GIS-T spatiotemporal data model, etc， finally explain theclose dependence of the progress of GIS-T data model research on the internet, and expound the characteristics of application and technology-oriented, and some problems to be settled in the respects of multi-dimension, tense and combination of advanced technology in order to meet the demand of navigation.
