A Quick Determination of the Mechanical Properties of Cast Iron

This paper describes the process on setting up a related equation between the characteristic values of the thermal and differential thermal analysis curves and the mechanical properties by means of regressive analysis. The advantage of this method of analysis is being quick and accurate. After the iron sample has been poured, its tensile strength and hardness can be determined within three minutes.
