Performance of Prefabricated Prestress-braced High-rise Steel Frames

    • To accelerate the development of industrialized prefabricated steel structure, a prefabricated prestress-braced high-rise steel frame system was proposed in this paper. Based on the nonlinear finite element package ABAQUS, effects of cable area, cable initial prestress degree and axial compression ratio on lateral resistant performance of the structure system were studied. Analyzing the bearing capacity and stiffness degradation laws of the structure with different parameters, the structure bearing mode and rule of initial prestress of cables were obtained.Resultsshow that prestressed brace can improve the lateral resistant performance of the structure; compared with steel structure, lateral stiffness increases210%, and ultimate bearing capacity increases 54%; cable initial prestress degree has great influence on first stiffness degradation; and the rule of initial prestress of cables is that the value of residual tension of cables is greater than zero under designed exterior loads.
