Tentative Study on DAB's Function in Settling Dispute

In order to apply the international convention and method to the construction engineering realm in China as soon as possible, the function and operation mechanism of the DAB as a way to settle dispute are discussed. At first, the authors briefly introduce the creation of DAB and elaborates the important character that the DAB is an informal organization without legal authorization. And then they analyze the nine operation mechanisms and four aspects of the content in DAB. Based on those efforts，nine characters and functions-impartial, independence, scientific， acceptability, procedure, economy, reliability， etc are summarized. At last this essay also introduces the application of DAB in China, analyzes the reason why DAB is not applied widely and accordingly puts forward the solution.
