Semiconductor Saturable Absorber Mirrors and Their Applications in Self-starting Femtosecond Solid State Lasers
Semiconductor saturable absorber mirrors offer a unique possibility for self-starting passively mode locked picosecond and femtosecond pulsed lasers. In thispaper, the principle, design technique and application of such mirrors are introduced.
