    Formulas of Ultimate Bearing Capacity for Large Concrete Plates Resting on Elastic Subgrade with the Effect of Transverse-Push Force Considered

    • According to the law of distribution of the transverse-push force in a large concrete plate and that of the contact pressure between the plate and Soil,new ultimate bearing capacity formulas were developed using the theory of the ultimate equilibrium and principle of virtual work. These formulas conform to the interactive mechanism of the plate and elastic subgrade in the ultimate state.
