The Exploitation of the Underground Space of Beijing

Beijing is a developing city, the exploitation of its underground space is of great importance. This article analyses the overall efficency of the undergoing projects of the underground space of Beijing. Some of the projects, such as the underground traffic, public-sevice, storage-facilities, and the underground commercial spaces and the pipe lines needed are studied. Also the issues, arised from the utilization and development of underground space, which include the integrated plan,the policy and legalization concerned,as well as the science and technology being used are discussed. This article intends to clear up the direction and the steps of the underground space projects in Beijing.
