Abstract
For detecting defects in pipe which surface can only be attachable to partly, feasibility of pipe inspection using ultrasonic guided waves excited by non-axisymmetric partial loading on the pipe surface is studied in the experiment. Result shows that circumferential loading angle effects on exciting and reception of ultrasonic guided waves. The method of decreasing the number of transducers using non-axisymmetric exciting and reception of ultrasonic guided waves to pipe inspection is explored.
