    A Universal Intelligent Battery Charger

    • The reference design is developed for the charge of 7.2 V Li-ion and 6 V NiMH/NiCd battery pack base on COP8ACC microcontroller. With the features of this kind of microcontroller on-chip 16-bits resolution A/D block and 16-bits resolution PWM Timer, the design guarantee high system accuracy,for the charge of Li-ion battery, the high resolution A/D converter can guarantee ± 1% system accuracy of the measure of battery voltage. For the charge of NiMH/NiCd battery the high resolution A/D means more accurate negative delta battery voltage can be detected eywords.
