Application of GIS in Data Process of Highway Network Planning

Data process is one of the key stages in highway network planning. Considering the deficiencies in traditional data process methods, this paper introduces the application of CIS in highway network planning, and realizes the functions of storage, query and conversion between attribute data and geographic data by GIS technology. This enhances the visualization, integrality and maneuverability of data process and achieves complete graphics processing so as to save a lot of work time and improves the efficiency of highway network planning. Thus the design purposes have been realized by GIS platform-Arcinfo 8.0.
