    Restoring-force Mathematical Model of a Bend Spring in Macro Wall Element

    • A shear wall element is the most important element resisting lateral loads.Based on the monotonic and cyclic loading tests of an SRC shear wall and ordinary reinforced shear wall,a two-spring macro wall element is used to simulate the mid-rise wall characteristics.The skeleton curve and restoring-force modal of the bend spring in the element is provided.The cyclic loading tests are performed on this element.The hysteretic curves agree well with the test results.The elasto-plastic time-history analysis for the shear wall structural calculation is effectively performed.
