    The Pressless Infiltration Process for SiCp/Al Composite

      Abstract
    • The experiment of mixing K2ZrF6, a wetting Promotor, with SiCp to fabricate SiCp/Al composites via preesless infiltration process is conducted. It indicates that this pressless infiltration process is simpler than the process of solution pretreatment, the amount of K2ZrF6 can be easily controlled, and the wettability between SiC and Al is greatly improved by mixing SiC with K2ZrF6.
