Abstract
The carbou migratiou behaviour and the effect of decar-burization on the strength at elevated temperature in the 13CrMo44 joiuts welded with austenitic electrodes were studied. The effects of temperature and structure on the carbon migration were also done. The reseaech results show that the sensitive temperature range of carbon migration in the dissimilar-metal joints is at the high temperature range below Ac1 of the ferritic base metal. Carbon migration in the joints as welded is not obvious under normal welding parameters, with the range of decarburized band from 6 to 114μm, the soft ferritic structures do not have an effect on the strength at elevated temperature and ruptures always occur in base metals.
