Study on the Impact of Congestion Pricing on Private Car Owner Trip Mode

One essential topic for analyzing the effects of congestion pricing was to study the reactions of private car owners on pricing in certain area. In this research,effects of the pricing rates,household income and trip purposes on the trip mode choice of private car owners were studied based on the survey data from a specific survey,and the choice model of using private cars was built up. The results of the survey and the model analysis show that for all travellers,the pricing rate and the household income level and trip purposes have remarkable impacts on the mode choice for private car owners.
