Abstract
In order to study an topological optimization of continuum structure with stress constraints, ICM (independent continuous mapping)methodology is used. A set of filter function of element's weight and allowable stress is introduced. The model of continuum structure minimized the structural weight with stress constraints is established. A new strategy for deleting elements is given. The half partition method is applied to obtain adaptive deleting rate. The iteration is decreased. The present optimal model and its algorithm have been implemented by means of the platform of MSC/Patran&Nastran software. 2D and 3D numerical examples indicate that this method is effective and efficient.
