Abstract
To investigate the influence of arrangement, quantity and distance of tail water discharge port in river-water source heat pump system on water environment and engineering quantity as discharged by multi-port way, the finite volume element method of fluent was used to simulate the thermal diffusion characteristics in the river in terms of one section of Yangtze River in Chongqing and a practical engineering of river-water source heat pump system. The results show that vertical arrangement is superior to horizontal arrangement and multi-port way is better than single-port way for thermal discharge. As the number of discharge ports increases, the influence of thermal discharge on water environment decreases. However, the optimal number of discharge ports is two or three if engineering quantity and construction difficulty are considered comprehensively; the appropriate discharge port distance is 30 -40 m as double- port way is adopted.
