Abstract
Surface area of MgO support of Ti-based catalyst for the polymerization of ethylene was increased greatly, then MgO was trented with methanol or 2-ethyoxybenzoin acid. Their surface basicity and catalytic activity for polymerizing ethylene were determined. It was found basicity and good catalytic activity. Its polyethylene product also had fine particl size, narrow distribution spherical shape.
