X-Ray Diffraction Study of Orthorhombic Barium Titanate

Abstract
The crystal structure of orthorhombic barium titanate was determined at 235K by means of the split atom method, based on the data collected by an X-ray four-circle diffractometer. It is shown that the Ti atom distributes orderly in orthorhombic phase. A comparision with the former results was made and the properties of phase transition of barium titanate were discussed as well.
