    X-Ray Diffraction Study of Orthorhombic Barium Titanate

    • The crystal structure of orthorhombic barium titanate was determined at 235K by means of the split atom method, based on the data collected by an X-ray four-circle diffractometer. It is shown that the Ti atom distributes orderly in orthorhombic phase. A comparision with the former results was made and the properties of phase transition of barium titanate were discussed as well.
