Nonlinear Finite Element Analysis of Mechanical Performance of Frames With Steel-concrete Composite Beam

    • Finite element numerical simulation based on Opensees develops the monotonic curve of monolayer and single span plane frame with composite beam and reinforced concrete column under a lateral load.Simulation results are analyzed and compared with measured results. In the simulation, concrete material is modeled by the modified Kent-Park constitutive model while the steel is modeled by real elastic-plastic constitutive model, and the nonlinear equations are solved by the incremental displacement method. The predominant parameters that affect the mechanical behavior of this type of frame structure are analyzed. Results indicate that the frame structures have good aseismic performance.
