    Size Effect of the Lattice Distortion Energy of Nanoparticle

    • To better calculate the size effect of the lattice distortion energy of nanoparticle,based on the surface thermodynamics and atomic bond energy,a classic thermodynamic model is proposed. It is found that the lattice distortion energy of nanoparticle increases with the decrease of the grain size. Then,according to this model,the lattice constants,lattice distortion energy and grain size,and density of the grain are analyzed.Resultsshow that the numerical results agree well with the experimental data.
