Abstract
A new experimental method is introduced in this paper. It could be used to measure directly and continuously as well as record simultaneously the fluidity characteristic curve of a molten metal inside the mold cavity. The effect of various factors, such as alloy composition, superheat, molding and coating material, section and shape of groove, and static pressure head etc., on the fluidity characteristic curve is also discussed.
