    A Nonlinear Least-Square Technique for Solving the Stress Intensity Factors of Cracks by Method of Caustics

    • A nonlinear least-square technique for solving the stress Intensity Factors(SIFs) of mixd mode cracks using the caustic method was presented, in this paper, the control equation was derived, computation program was organized and the experimental techniques were described. As the applied examples, three typical cracked specimers were tested. The nonlinear least-square method isbetter than optical method of P.S.Theocaris'.
