Study on the Current Controlled Technology and Metal Removal Law of Controlled Electrolytic Honing

    • The controlled electrolytic honing is a new machining method of obtaining the required workpiece in geometric shape and machining precision, during which the electrolytic field intensity on the workpiece is controlled in real time by microcomputer so as to adjust and control the rate of metal removal at various spots. The surface roughness of the workpiece can be reduced, and the geometrical accuracy of the workpiece can be improved, so the technology is especially suitable for machining workpiece with high accuracy and complicated shape. The experimental results have proved that adopting incomplete differential PID algorithm to control in closed loop the electrolytic current and adopting the artificial neural network technology to establish the current distribution model of the system will help achieve the satisfactory machining precision.
