Determination of the Direction of Deformation on Surface by Lateral Shearing Holographic Interferometry

In this paper a principle for determining the direction of deformation on surface by lateral shearing holographic interferometry is proposed and the relationship between the direction of movement of holographic plate and the change of interferometric fringes is discussed. The principle is verified by means of experimental results.
