Early Prediction of Great Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan and Impending Signals

    • Japan was hit by a massive 9.0-magnitude earthquake that triggered a tsunami 10-23.6 m high and leakiness of nuclear power on March 11,2011.This earthquake caused very heavy loss. The 9.0-magnitude epicenter has been located 38.1° N,142.6° E.As early as July 25,2008,Institute of Earthquake Prediction of Beijing University of Technology had made an internal earthquake prediction(Prediction of Strong Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan) based on five different types of precursor anomalies appearing at that time.Actual earthquake was just within the region of the prediction, and truly caused devastating Tsunami with a height of 10 m.Before the earthquake, five types of precursory signals were received. This shows that an earthquake above 7-magnitude is formed a energy accumulation process, and a few years ago some precursory information appear.Imminent anomalies will appear in succession a few days before earthquakes.Capturing this information for earthquake prediction prevention is very important.
