The Selection of Microcomputer Hardware in Smart Instrument Design

The microcomputer is providing intelligence in instruments. The purpose of the design of smart instrments is to take maximum advantage of the speed of hardware and the versatility of software. In this paper, several major aspects concerning the selection of microcomputer hardware in smart instrument design are disscused, the future prospects are reviewed.
