    Abnormal Signals Before Wenchuan and Yushu Earthquakes

    • On May 12, 2008, an Ms8.0 earthquake occurred in Wenchuan area of Sichuan Province (31.0°N, 103.4°E) .Nearly two years later, an Ms7.1 earthquake occurred on April 14, 2010 in Yushu area of Qinghai province.Both of them have caused significant losses.A variety of imminent abnormal signals were received before these two earthquakes in the Institute of Earthquake Prediction in Beijing University of Technology.These signals are anomaly of infrasonic wave, abnormal jumping frequency of budgerigar, anomaly of ionosphere, and anomaly of magnetic Triple-Pin.Term predictions of the two earthquakes were also made.
