    Tbpological Optimization of Continuum Structure Under Stress Constraints

    • By Independent Continuous Mapping(ICM) methodology, this article introduced a set of filter functions of element mass and allowable stress to build a topological optimization model of continuum structure under stress constraint with the minimized structural mass as the objective. The author applied the half partition method to obtain adaptive deleting rate resulting in less iterative times and high efficiency of computation. The present optimal model and its algorithm have been implemented by means of the platform of MSC/ Patran&Nastran software. In addition, stress distribution before and after topological optimization of structure were analyzed. 2D and 3D numerical examples indicate that this method is effective and efficient.
