The Determination of the Cutting Directions of Single Mode LiNbO³ Piezoelectric Slices

In order to excite single mode mechanical waves from LiNbO³ piezoelectric slices, the cutting directions of these slices must be restricted to certain definite values. In this article, we will theoretically determine these single mode directions by solving the piezoelectrically stiffened Christoffel equations and calculate the corresponding wave velocities and electromechaaical coupling constants.
