Pore Size Distribution of Molecular Sieve Carbon Membrane and Apparent Critical Size of Gas

    • Molecular sieve carbon membrane, which contain pores of molecular dimensions, can exhibit selectivity according to the size of gas molecule. A concept of apparent critical size of gas is given, which implied critical size of captured gas molecule. A method of determining the size, according to pore size distribution of membrane and its errors, is clarified. The positive result obtained by taking critical size of gas for reference in improving performance of the membrane is discussed.
