Modeling Method for Material Behavior

A modeling method of predicting material behavior by the linear combination of nonlinear functions is proposed. On the basis of analyzing its mathematical principle, the mathematical methods to decide parameters are given. Otherwise, the modeling results of five practical examples are shown. The experimental data are in good agreement with the theoretical calculation. Therefore the model can, to some extent, predict the material behavior. The modeling of multivariate function is also discussed.
