Web GIS Developing Technology Based on MapXtreme

On the basis of comparing several kinds of method to develop Web GIS,this paper chooses one which is operated-simply and developed-expediently,that's Web GIS developing on the basis of MapXtreme.By employing ASP as the front-end developing tool,SQL Server2000 as the data server to access route information,MapXtreme3.0 for windows as the map server to establish MapX instances,we develop a software.In the process of software design,firstly starting MapXBroker by VBScript and JavaScript in HTML,then querying route by accessing database,We develop a kind of Web GIS including all the basic functions and some querying functions.
