    The Application of Factor Analysis Ridge Regression Spectrophotometry for the Simultaneous Determination of Multicomponent Phenols in Waste Water

    • Factor analysis ridge regression spectrophotometric method was applied to the determination of multicomponent phenols in the phenols-MBTH (3-methyl-2-benzothiaxolinone hydrazone) complex systems. The basic principle and decomposition method of spectral data were discussed. This method was used for the simultaneous qualitative and quantitative determinations of the phenols of five components (phenol, orthocresol, 3,4-dicresol, 2,3-dicresol, orthobenzenediphenol) in waste water, which brought out satisfactory results.
