Evaluation on the Development Status of Qinhuangdao's Urban Road and Public Traffic

The authors evaluate in detail the development status of Qinhuangdao's road facilities and public traffic by comparing with some seaside open cities and some cities in the same size, and comparing with the average value of the indexes per capita for different sizes cities and with the indexes per capita for different size cities. The evaluating results show that Qinhuangdao's road facilities development status is good; both the transit vehicles and the taxi vehicles per ten thousands persons are higher; but the transit network length is very low. Finally, based on the problems of Qinhuangdao's urban traffic and the development background, the urban traffic development strategy to strengthen urban planning, devote major efforts to the development of public traffic and reasonally develop private cars is proposed.
