Abstract
By using the semi-inverse method, inverse problems of vibration are discussed for the nonhomogeneous and simply supported beam with anti-symmetry mode. The axial polynomial stiffness of simply supported beams is calculated when the area of cross-section is constant and the density distribution is given with polynomial form. In addition,it is proved that the axial stiffness is positive.
