    Analysis and Optimum Design of Several Engineering Thin Shell Structures

    • An analysis is made on the stress distribution and the displacement deformation of several engineering thin shell structures using the CAE software offered by USA MSC company. Geometrical models and finite element models are set-up and calculations on the model are made both by using the software MSC/ PATRAN, which is convenient for applications. In addtion, optimum design is carried using existing optimization module in which the smallest mass is taken as the objective function. The results of numerical analysis and optimum design are available to engineering practice.
