Early Warning Radar Clutter Suppression and Dim Moving Target Detection Algorithm

For the issue of clutter suppression and intensive computation in early detection of dim moving targets,a new algorithm is first proposed for clutter suppression based on signal separation.This method effectively separates weak moving target signal from strong background clutter signal using independent component analysis signal processing technology for clutter suppression.Then an improved dynamic programming method is derived.This method,based on characteristics of incoming targets,proposes multi-level decision thresholds in a dynamic programming algorithm.During the cycles of recursion,it discards the irrelevant false alarm target trajectories.With this method,the algorithm computation can be reduced.Simulation results show that the method can effectively reduce computation,suppress clutter,and implement early detection of dim moving targets in strong clutter background,and it has good detection capabilities.
