Analysis and Modeling About Milling Force in Plunge Milling for Ti-6AI-4V Based on Regression

  • In view of the characteristic of machinability of Ti alloy,the process of plunge milling Titanium alloy with(Ti-6Al-4V)is researched on.In this paper,an experiment platform for the testing and analysis of cutting force is established,and the changing law of cutting force is studied.The model of milling force in plunge milling Ti-6Al-4V is built by Taguchi orthogonal method and fitting of multivariable linear regression on the basis of experiment.Through the verification of experiment data,the model is valid,and the error of cutting force is within 10%,which supplies important reference to research on the plunge milling of Ti-6Al4V.
