Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to study a kind of noninvasive temperature measure method, which based on shifts in echo location of backscattered ultrasound from heated tissue. In our experiments, the correlation of shifts in echo location of backscattered ultrasound and temperature in tissue was studied. The experiments were carried out on degassed water and in-vitro fresh liver tissue of pig during the temperature range from 20~50℃, and a series of shifts in echo location of backscattered ultrasound were obtained in different temperature. It has been found that the shifts in echo location of backscattered ultrasound varied in accordance with the temperature changes in tissue, and this correlation may be used to estimate the heated tissue temperature in hyperthermia.
