    Study of the Effect of Bus Stop on Roadway Section Capacity

    • This study investigated and analyzed 14 bus turnout stops and 7 curb-lane bus stops of expressways, major arterials and minor arterials in Beijing.Based on this observation,the statistic relationship between bus arrival rate and bus influence time for each type of bus stop was found.Then,by considering the relationship,and a theoretic model of bus influence time and roadway section capacity was set up.Finally,two types of roadway section capacity theoretic model were established,which reflect the effect of bus arrival rate of two different type of bus stop on road section capacity.
