    Synthesis and Crystal Structure of Tetra-Copper(I) Complex With N-heterocyclic Thioether Ligand

    • A novel Cu(I) complexCu4I4L2 L=2-methylpyridyl pyrimidyl sulfide has been synthesized through solution diffusion method and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction and IR spectrum. The title complex crystallizes in monoclinic crystal system with P21/n space group with a=1.004 70(5) nm,b=0.893 04(4) nm,c=1.815 98(8) nm,β=99.847(10) °,V=1.605 36(13) nm3,Z=2,and Mr=1 196.40. The tetra-nuclear structure is composed of the moleculeCu4I4L2and its three-dimensional nets are constructed ultimately by supra-molecule weak interactions including hydrogen bond,S…S and π-π interaction.
